Who we are

An independent Atlas Policy institute in Rabat.

We produce research and free public-policy recommendations on the forces reshaping Morocco and the Middle East.

We exist because decisions of consequence are being made, in government and in business, faster than the evidence reaching decision-makers. Our role is to close that gap: rigorous analysis, published openly, accessible to anyone.

Our questions begin in Morocco. We work across the Middle East because the same pressures are being confronted nearby, and comparison sharpens the work.

We conduct independent research and publish it openly. We issue policy recommendations free of charge — to policymakers, to business leaders, and to the public. We do not sell studies, advisory services, or access.

“Independent” is a working method, not a slogan.

The Rabat institute is a nonprofit association under Moroccan law. Members contribute in a personal capacity. Our publications speak for their authors and for the institute — not for any employer, government, or client. No funder reviews, approves, or vetoes our conclusions. We disclose our funding sources.

What we are not

Not a consultancy

We do not take paying clients. We do not sell studies, advisory work, or access.

Not a party

We do not support candidates or political organisations. The work is the argument.

Not a lobby

We publish the reasoning and the evidence. Anyone may examine both.
